River Activities |
Skim Boarding: The Virgin River is famous for being the perfect place to try skim boarding. The water in the summer is shallow and warm and the river bottom is sandy. It's the perfect combination for skim boarding and even better than the beach.
Tubing: There are spots along the Virgin and Santa Clara Rivers where tubing is very exciting, especially in late spring after the run-off has settled. Do not go tubing during heavy spring run-off time frames. Tubes are available for rent in Springdale near Zion National Park.
River Volleyball / River Football or Frisbee Football: Set up poles in the soft sand of the river. Play catch with a frisbee or balls and you can dive in the water and sand.
